It's OK to ask for help
The CFC Men’s Group was created after we saw male clients struggle alone with depression, anxiety, and many other mental health concerns. The Group is run by Jim, a friendly and open BACP-qualified therapist passionate about helping men to connect and prioritise their mental health.
Our weekly support group will allow men to have honest, judgement-free conversations about their mental health in a safe and confidential environment. No obligation to contribute, you can simply show up and listen. Jim understands the unique pressure men face in opening-up about their struggles. That is why he cultivates a space of trust and compassion.
Through sharing stories and resources, he hopes to guide men to realise they're not alone and importantly that “It's OK to ask for help”. “It’s OK to not be in a good place”.
Our weekly men's group will provide a judgement-free space to:
-
Share struggles and insights confidentially.
-
Gain perspective through others' experiences.
-
Explore mental health challenges in a solutions-focused way.
-
Develop healthy stress management and communication skills.
We will work through:
-
Activities to connect with each other.
-
Discussing work, relationships, purpose, and more
-
Learning research-based coping strategies
-
Reflecting on growth and insights together
