Course overview
Join us for a comprehensive 2-day introductory course designed to help you understand Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), as well as their common co-occurring conditions.
This course will guide you through identifying the symptoms of ADHD and Autism, enabling you to better understand clients who may have a diagnosis or exhibit traits of these conditions. You’ll gain
insights into how these neurological conditions can affect mental health, education, relationships,
and daily life.
This course also delves into the Neurodiversity Paradigm, which views neurological differences as natural variations of the human brain rather than disorders. You'll explore how to work in a Neuro-affirmative way, respecting and celebrating these differences while providing effective support to individuals with ADHD or Autism. Through case studies and real-world examples, you'll learn how to
approach clients in a way that acknowledges and affirms their unique neurocognitive profiles, fostering a positive therapeutic relationshipWho should attend?

Trainer
May Mulki
May Mulki is a qualified person-centred trainer with extensive experience in working with both children and adults with ADHD and Autism. She has worked with the Counselling & Family Centre since 2019 and brings personal insight, having raised a child with ADHD. May has also provided support to adult clients with ADHD and Asperger’s, blending both professional knowledge and lived experience in her approach. She is passionate about Neurodiversity and approaches her work through a Neuro-affirmative lens, ensuring her clients’ identities and experiences are respected and celebrated.Further information
