New support service

Wellbeing for pharmacists

The Counselling & Family Centre in Partnership with Pharmacist Support

We are delighted to announce that we have now become partners with Pharmacist Support.

Pharmacist Support is an independent, trusted charity providing a wide variety of support services to pharmacists and their families, former pharmacists and pharmacy students. Their mission is to champion the wellbeing of their ‘pharmacy family’.

Thanks to a grant from the Covid-19 Healthcare Support Appeal (CHSA), Pharmacist Support will soon be able to provide direct psychological support for those who are experiencing mental health issues.

Through this funding the charity has established a new counselling partnership with The Counselling & Family Centre that will fund counselling sessions.

This month, Pharmacist Support celebrates 180 years of support and we are proud to be able to assist their ongoing mission and provide counselling to individuals in the profession with more emotional needs. They’ve listened carefully to people from all sectors of the profession, and deeply empathise with the issues affecting pharmacy today. In their 2019 market research, 97% of all potential service users surveyed felt they needed some form of support from the charity, with 71% of all respondents citing mental health as a key issue affecting the sector.

Pharmacists, trainees and students will be able to access this new service through the charity’s website from 23 April 2021.

Visit Pharmacist Support for all the latest updates and news of their services.
