Exploring Differences: An Introduction to Working with Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
This is a two-day introductory course to understand Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism and their comorbid conditions. It will look at identifying the symptoms of ADHD and Autism to have a greater understanding of clients that either have a diagnosis or are presenting traits of either, in particular when it may be contributing to the psychological distress of a client and their wellbeing. Neurological conditions such as these impact education, relationships and daily life. You will be introduced to case studies that provide first-hand experience of working with clients with ADHD or Autism and management options. This training will explore how to develop complementary ways of working to provide appropriate support and understanding.
