Who is this course for?
This course will suit anyone who already has a basic understanding & experience of the counselling process and is looking to extend their knowledge and experience of working in the interesting, demanding and fascinating world of couple counselling. It will build not only on your counselling knowledge in general but also on the practical and theoretical aspects of working with the couple dynamic. This is a non-accredited programme that will deepen the understanding of working therapeutically with couples.

Art Therapist, Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, EMDR Practitioner, Supervisor, Trainer, PGCE, FHEA
I have worked in mental health for 40 years, initially training as a mental health nurse. I qualified in Art therapy in 2001 and then went on to gain qualifications in psychosexual and relationship therapy and supervision. I was a senior lecturer in higher education for 12 years, developing and delivering undergraduate and post graduate training on counselling and psychotherapy programmes, including the COSRT Accredited Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy programme. I have worked in the voluntary sector and in the NHS. I gained my teaching qualification in 2014. I am currently working in private practice, and I supervise a range of qualified practitioners and trainees. I teach on the THIRST learn Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy training, accredited with COSRT.

This is a non-accredited programme and will be delivered face to face. Tea and coffee provided. Light refreshments and lunch are available to purchase from our café or bring a packed lunch. Full payment required to secure booking. 75% refundable in cases of cancellation if cancelled more than 14 days before course date. Cancellations 14 days or less prior to the start of the course will be non-refundable.
