The Trafford Mental Health Collaborative

Bringing organisations together to improve mental health support across Trafford communities.

The Trafford Mental Health Collaborative is a partnership of mental health and wellbeing organisations, working alongside key system partners to achieve improved support for the communities we serve.

The Collaborative aims to raise awareness of the important work that is being done within the Trafford community, collaborate on contracts and provide mutual member support in raising funds. It is a live forum to share learning and expertise for the benefit of the members and the community we serve.

The Collaborative is split into 3 different membership types: Affiliate, Associate and Full, with benefits and asks relevant to the membership level. We hope that doing this will make the Collaborative as accessible as possible. When applying for a membership we require organisations applying for Associate and Full membership to evidence that a designated person has undertaken specific training. There are no training requirements for Affiliate membership.

Membership is free and currently open for VCSFE organisations only, if you would like any support with your application, please email odette.yende@thecfc.org.uk

As part of the Collaborative, we have also launched our new podcast, Talks with the MHC!

This podcast gives us the opportunity to speak with our member organisations about the incredible work they are doing to support their communities, as well as the personal journeys that have led individuals into advocacy. Over the coming months, we'll be sitting down with both our full and associate members to explore their experiences, achievements, and insights in greater depth.

We're excited to kick off the series with Charlotte Clayton, CEO of Talk to SARA. In this episode, Charlotte discusses the organisation's decision to rebrand from Trafford Rape Crisis to Talk to SARA, the importance of making reasonable adjustments to better support survivors of sexual abuse, and her own personal journey into advocacy.

We hope you enjoy listening and learning more about the inspiring work taking place across our membership.
