Women in the workplace

A conversation about purpose, resilience and growth

Jo (CFC CEO) and Ali (CFC Training & Marketing Manager) were honoured to be invited to speak at one of our sponsor’s recent Lunch and Learn sessions, hosted by the brilliant team at Add People. This inspiring session focused on Women in the Workplace and gave us the opportunity to share our personal and professional journeys with their team.

Speaking openly about our career histories, we reflected on the challenges we’ve overcome, the resilience we've developed, and the lessons we’ve learned along the way. From unexpected setbacks to proud milestones, we discussed how each experience shaped the path that ultimately led us to our current roles at CFC.

The conversation also shone a light on the value of working for purpose over profit. We shared how choosing careers that align with our values and contribute to community wellbeing has been both deeply fulfilling and a powerful motivator.

It was a privilege to speak in a room full of engaged, thoughtful people and to connect over shared experiences and aspirations. Thank you to Add People for the warm welcome, the meaningful discussion, and for supporting our charity’s mission.
