Seeing one of our counsellors?
Information for CFC clients
Welcome to CFC. Coming for counselling can be a daunting thought. Here we provide information so that you know what to expect from your sessions.
Key information
-
Please arrive 10 minutes before the start time of your first face-to-face assessment session to complete your paperwork.
-
If this is your first session, you must bring proof of income or proof of Means Tested Benefits if you are accessing fully-funded or part-funded sessions.
-
All sessions last 50 minutes apart from family sessions which last 60 minutes.
-
We would welcome any donations to help support the charity. These can be given at reception or via our website and help ensure we are able to continue to offer reduced-cost counselling.
Contract
Before you speak to us openly about what’s been going on for you, we agree how we are going to work together. Your counsellor or assessor will go through the contract with you at the beginning of your first appointment. It is useful if you can have a look at this beforehand:
-
Contract for adults (including those seen in a couple or family)
