Pay: £18.03 per hour (£4705.83 Term time only hours per week contract - 38 weeks + holiday allowance = 43.5 weeks paid)
Interview Date: 15 July 2026 - afternoon.

Start date: Term time September 2026

We are seeking an experienced and passionate CYP counsellor to provide 5 hours of counselling per week at a Secondary School in Stockport. (Paid at 6 hours per week to account for administration time).


Hours: Wednesday between 9am - 3pm. (this could be flexible and discussed at interview)

 

  • Fixed term (1 year contract), with great opportunity for ongoing place.

  • Successful candidates will receive regular supervision with CFC's clinical supervision team.


Qualifications:

  • Recognised Counselling Qualification (minimum Level 4 or equivalent)

  • Experience working therapeutically with children and young people or additional specific CYP training

  • Proficiency in IT for documentation and record-keeping

  • Professional membership (e.g., BACP, UKCP) desirable

  • Valid DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
